Primary Savings Account
A Primary Savings Account (PSA) establishes your membership at City & County Credit Union. Your account earns a dividend, which is declared at the end of the quarter.
- Minimum balance: $5
- Perfect account for a basic savings
For those who do not want to earn interest on a savings account, you can open a Non-Interest Primary Savings Account.
Daily Interest Savings
The Daily Interest Savings account is perfect if you wish to have a savings account for a specific purpose. Reach your goal with a little extra speed by earning interest.
- No minimum balance
- Interest accrues daily, paid quarterly
Automatic Savings
Designed to help establish lifelong savings habits, the automatic savings account helps you boost your savings while earning a higher interest rate.
- No minimum balance
- 1 withdrawal per month allowed
- $20 fee for additional withdrawals
- Interest paid monthly
Money Market
Money market savings are perfect for the saver who wishes to earn a higher rate of interest while maintaining a higher minimum balance. This is a great option for your emergency fund as you have immediate access to cash with the extra interest boost.
- Minimum balance: $2,500 (a fee is charged if you fall below the balance)
- Interest accrues daily, paid monthly
Certificate of Deposit (CD)
A CD is a safe investment that allows you to earn a higher interest rate while securing your funds for a set amount of time. CDs have various terms & interest repayment options based on your goals.
- Minimum balance: $1,000 ($100 for ages 17 and younger)

Health Savings Account (HSA)
An HSA is a tax-advantaged account designed to help you pay and save for qualified medical expenses. An HSA must be paired with a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and offers an alternative to high-premium health plans.

- Interest & investments grow tax-free
- Accessible with a debit card for convenient purchasing
Individual Retirement Account (IRA)
IRAs allow you to make the most of every dollar you save for the future.
Contributions may be tax deductible, and the tax paid on earnings deferred. Submit this form to request IRA or HSA contributions for the 2024 tax year.
Safe Deposit Boxes
Safe deposit boxes can provide you with peace of mind knowing that your documents and other irreplaceable information is in a secure location. You can obtain a safe deposit box through CCCU at our Saint Paul or Lake Elmo branch.
